Meet Your Storm Chasers:
Andy Rice and Avi Solomon grew up in the same neighborhood in Palo Alto, California. Their interest in severe weather began in elementary school—together, they would track and predict the path of hurricanes using the Weather Channel and graph paper. They rode their bikes following rain clouds, and knew that someday they would chase big storms.

In 2004, a long-time dream of theirs was realized when they made their first storm chase together and took up-close pictures of tornadoes. “We had the fever,” says Avi. “All we could talk about was when we would chase again.”
